GROWING OUR MISSION

When it comes to Pluspuu Homes environmental mission in sustainable living, we are proud to have an advanced and modern engineered product that supports a sustainable environment, but we do not want to just stop there. Pluspuu Homes is consistently innovating and researching new, eco-friendly options to further develop & expand our existing models by finding ways to advance the sustainable features in our homes.

CANADIAN & SCANDINAVIAN SUPERWOOD

In Canadians clean forests, much like in Finland, pine and spruce grow slowly because of the harsh weather conditions. A tree's growth period in one year is only 3 months, which means that the trees grow slow and in turn become more durable. During nearly 100 years of growth, the wood is toughened in hard frost, rain and storms. This makes Canadian & Finnish wood unprecedentedly durable, safe and healthy as building material.

ECOLOGICAL BUILDING MATERIAL

Wood is 100% a product of nature. It is undoubtedly the most ecological building material and using it distinctly reduces carbon dioxide emissions. The production of a wood home consumes less fossil fuels compared to other materials and the wood waste that emerges can be further recycled for energy production. In addition to our sustainable approach to home building, we will also be teaming up with Tree Canada to help replenish our forests, communities and even client properties after building.

WOOD IS GOOD FOR YOUR WELL-BEING

We spend as much as 90% of our time indoors, which makes indoor air quality especially important. Wooden frames absorb and give out humidity, balancing the indoor air humidity levels throughout the year. In a wooden home you find it easy to breathe, you feel better and in turn stay healthier. Wood is also an antiseptic, so it hold properties that can help to combat against allergies and asthma. Wood has soothing properties and it works well acoustically. It absorbs sound and creates a calming, relaxing atmosphere. Studies have shown that environments with wooden structures help to lower blood pressure, heart rate and induce feelings of relaxation.
